Help with EK/UA RTW
 
Hi all,

I used to fly this RTW all the time but gave up on UA after their service level declined. Unfortunately, I have to get to PEK rather quickly and make some stops that appear to be well served by EK. I'm not sure if this is the right fare to buy but it certainly seems more cost effective than a *RTW.

Please take a look at my routeing and see what I can do to maximise usage of these two carriers.

Dec 26 LAX-PEK
Jan 2 PEK-BKK
Jan 4 BKK-BOM
Jan 8 BOM-DXB
Jan11 DXB-GVA
Jan13 ZRH-LAX

How much does this price at ? Have you compared it to a Star Alliance RTW ???

I dont hink you can get from PEK to BKK on the UA/EK RTW and also GVA is not served by either so that is another problem.

You probably need to fly into/out of ZRH to do the UA/EK RTW. Both carriers serve ZRH. Its a 3hr train trip from ZRH to GVA. CDG is also an option but this option would involve changing trains in Paris, unless you opted to get a cheap separate RT CDG-GVA.
