I am in GRU and people are talking about DXB-GRU. Is this possible?

These rumours have been around for years, ever since EK applied for traffic rights DXB-CPT-GRU (and hasn't received them due to the protectionist behaviour of the relevant South African authorities).

People from BA in GRU told me that EK already selected brazilian FAs and started their trainnings. Flyght is due to start by end of 2006.
I do hope itīs true and be part of UA/EK RTW
