E-tickets
 
EK's website says that e-tickets have been implemented in Nigeria and Kenya among others, but when I try to book an open-jaw it does not allow me the e-ticket option. Anybody have any explanations?

Some destinations are not yet eligable for e-ticketing.

Their website specifically says that e-ticketing has been rolled out to select destinations, three of which include Nigeria, Kenya & India. I know e-tickets are not available on all routes which is also mentioned on EK's website.

Are you starting in Kenya/Nigeria or ending in Kenya/Nigeria? It is possible that another city that you are travelling through / from is not eligable

I looked at starting from JFK-LOS and NBO-JFK. As there is only one destination in each country I assume that Lagos and NBO are supposed to be e-tickets.
