Emirates SIN lounge
Heard last night from a friend that the SIN Terminal 1 Viewing gallery and Swensens restaurant is to be closed shortly to make room for a new Emirates lounge. No idea when it will be ready though.

This would be good news. The Emirates business lounge is shared with so many airlines that it can be quite crowded, though I do like the tarmac view.

You are right, the Skyview Lounge at SIN can get really crowded, but the view is amazing. Nevertheless, an own lounge at such an important airport is definitely a plus ^

But (correct me if I am wrong) that Svensons and viewing gallery are landside. So there would need to be some major structural work to bring it into the post custms/emmigration area (unless the lounge will be a landside one).
