Which FF program: Skywards or OnePass?

I'll be flying J-class DUS-DXB-SYD-BKK-DXB-DUS on Emirates in a few weeks. I will not be a very frequent flyer on Emirates, but do want to get the credit for these flights. Will I be better of registering with CO OnePass or should I just start collecting Skywards points now? I do fly CO a lot, although I collect KL/AF miles for these flights. Will I get equal amounts of miles using OnePass versus Skywards?

Thanks, FB70

Flying EK will get you 150% status miles whereas CO will give you 125% non status miles. I would go with EK

cheers

Thanks for your quick reply. Are you sure about the CO only earning 125%? I understood that UA members indeed only earn 125%, but that CO earns 150% (but no EQM, as you correctly indicate). On the other hand, I just learned that EK offers a 5000 mile 'first flight' bonus. Quite a puzzle!

Yes, and if you don't fly them much they'll probably send you an email offer after about 6 months following the flight if you haven't flown them again, to offer you some more, "welcome back" bonus miles.

It also really depends on what airline do you forsee yourself having a longer relationship with.
