How often does EK change aircraft?
 

Hey,

Does anyone know how often EK changes their aircraft and usually for what reasons? I have been lucky and have experienced none since I have been flying them, but it could just be my good luck

The reason I am asking if because I am trying to convince my travel party to switch our confirmed EK4 LHR - DXB seats which are on a 773 to EK16 LGW - DXB on a JY 772 because of the extra legroom and ICE IFE. However the 2 class 772 is the only acft (save the A340-500) to have this and an aircraft change would mean 3 people who are furious at me :(

I think it depends on the load factor. When I travelled DXB-DAC some weeks ago, EK changed the equipment from B777-200 to -300. The aircraft was 100% full.
