Will EK join Star?
 

I sure hope they will.I have had so many trips lately having to fly BNE-SYD-BNE (with the hassles of the interterminal conx)as part of a UA itinerary.Most other airlines have given up providing a decent connection out of BNE to the USA-though QF is starting one up in June-? a spoiling move.
The proposed OZ-AKL-USA on such a brilliant airline would be a real winner for a Brisbanite .

Emirates has declined the invitation to join Star Alliance last year from Lufthansa.

Apparently Star is looking at Qatar Airways.

Were not BA also trying to entice EQ into the OW fold. I believe that they currently codeshare on some routes.

We need EK in Star! :)
