Is Emirates safe?
 

Brazil just qualified for World Cup 2002. That means the chances of me going to Pakistan are getting warm, as this qualification can trigger a huge order of soccer balls (Pakistan is world's major supplier).

Never been to that country before, and I'm sure this is not the best time, but I want to go the safest possible way. It seems the best to do is taking Emirates from DXB directly to Lahore.

How safe is Emirates? Young fleet? Ground security?

Emirates is a very safe airline. Firstly it's financed by the Sheikh. Secondly EK's base is Dubai, which is a state-of-the-art airport with good security (not amazing but good enough). Thirdly EK is a good airline and you should enjoy the flights. Finally, since lots of airlines have pulled out of Pakistan I'd say that EK is your safest choice!
