Upgrading a Emirates Holiday + Checking Availability
 

Hi All,

Looking to fly with EK for the first time next month - may book as a Emirates Holiday as it appears to book into a more favorable fare bucket in Business Class that includes lounges and chauffer.

My first question is - are these Holidays able to be upgraded to F from J using miles?
Second question - is there a way to check F reward availability. I am specifically looking for 2 x Pax DUB-DXB on or around the 22nd May? I could not tell if when I was using the website whether there was no availability or it was not searching correctly.

As I have never flown with EK, I would need to purchase the miles in order to facilitate this upgrade, but it still works out significantly cheaper than the cash F fare. Appreciate the help.

It does say I am unable to purchase miles as no prior activity on my account, is there any way around this without flying and crediting to EK?

Edit - Looks like this idea may be dead anyway as i’m capped at purchasing 100,000 miles.
