Impulse buy - can I refund?

Hey! I booked Business Saver tickets to and from Germany to DXB. Is there any loopholes / changes I can make to get this refunded without paying the fee?

Lol.

And perhaps that’s unhelpful. Unlikely, but you’d need to share the fare conditions here, as they do vary at times.

Yeah I would have to pay a 450 EUR fee to cancel (the flight is in June). It's fine if not, but let me know if there are any ways to avoid paying this fee

EK run a pretty tight ship. I doubt there is any way.

3hours of chatting later, I found that out the hard way. They mentioned that if there was a schedule change, I could get a refund. How much of a change is needed?

I think (emphasis) it is five hours, but regardless, they are rare because: see tight ship comment.

Well I might just accept the stupid mistake and the cost

Note that US bookings do get a 24 hour cooling off period. Not relevent here, but for future reference.

What I usually do in such situations is just put a remark in my agenda shortly before departure date to cancel the flight.
You'd have this whole period to potentially have a cancellation or schedule change that waives the cancellation fee.

Oh nice - since the flight is months away, it made more sense for me to just get the money now
