Sleeping options
Hi everyone! Next month I'll be connecting in DXB with a 5 hour layover between 4am - 9am. I'm flying Emirates in business class and will have lounge access, but from reading reviews none of the business lounges appear to have decent sleeping areas with actual lie flat beds / sofas.
I'm considering using my Priority Pass to use the Sleep n Fly lounges which get me 2 hours in a lie flat sleep pod. Does anyone know how busy these Sleep n Fly lounges get during that time? Any better options for getting a few hours of sleep that don't require paying for an expensive airport hotel? Thanks! |
Bear in mind that the airport hotel (airside, within each concourse) offers hourly rates at rather low prices. I am just mentioning this as it is not very clear from their website (which only allows overnight bookings). For a 5-hour layover I would definitely consider that.

Realistically, you arrive at the terminal at 4:15, and your next flight will begin boarding at 8-8:15,
Which is 4 hours of useable time. Why not sleep on the inbound, and eat/chill in the terminals? |
The lounges do have decent sleeping areas. Attached are photos of a comfy couch I found in the business class lounge in terminal A. I dozed off for a while here when I was in transit between flights in the middle of the night.

Remove the coffee table, then place two chairs together and put the leg pouffe in the middle to create an instant bed. Once I wake up, I simply rearrange everything back to its original position. |
Thanks everyone for the tips and advice. Looks like it’s the Terminal A seats /couches as the way forward! I must have flown Qatar in J 30+ times but never tried Emirates. It’s exciting to have a new flight experience to look forward to!
