EK interline baggage - separate tickets
 
I am thinking flying DXB-AMS on EK and then AMS-YYC on a separate ticket with KLM. The connection is 90 minutes which is fine but would be too tight if I needed to recheck luggage. Has anyone got recent experience asking EK to interline bags on separate tickets?
