Skywards Silver/Partner

I haven't flown EK lately - actually it's my first flight after dropping to Silver. My boarding pass says "Silver/Partner".. Anyone knows what the "partner" is for?

I have had this too and couldn’t think what it meant. I asked at the front desk last time I was going into the First lounge at B in DXB. The lady who was checking me in didn’t know but asked a supervisor. The supervisor asked if I had my Skywards account linked with my Marriott Bonvoy account, which I do, and she said she was pretty sure that’s what it was.

I believe there are some reciprocal benefits for Silver and above in both programs, but I don’t remember what they are.

After putting the quesiton out there I thought maybe it means Silver through a partner programme? I have a Skywards Emirates NBD Visa Infinite credit card that gives me silver... A first step between differentiating benefits for those who are silver by flying EK and those who are silver through partner offers ...

See here - https://www.emirates.com/sa/english/...world-rewards/

I am currently a Silver on EK and Lifetime Titanium with Marriott. The main benefit (of this program) to me is that I can still use the Business/First check-in/immigration at T3 DXB - However, I very often have a problem with the staff there who are not trained (on the program benefits) and that you need to print out your boarding pass because the mobile boarding pass doesn't seem to have "Partner" on it.

2 weeks ago I tried to access the Business/First immigration line at DXB with my Mobile Boarding Pass and was turned back by both the DXB staff member in Blue and also the EK member of staff both of whom told me that as a Silver member I had to go an use the regular "Economy" line. Of course I told them they were wrong, showed them my Marriott Titanium card but ,unsurprisngly, they had no idea about this and had never heard of World Rewards. A few months ago I rang EK just to make sure that being an Elite with Marriott means I get Busines/First check-in and Priority Boarding and the word "Partner" on my boarding pass activtates this (and EK confirmed this is correct).

Anyway, I had to go back to the manual checkin line (I guess I could have used the machines but was already well past those), get a paper boarding pass and I also checked with the EK customer service person who amazingly knew all about World Rewards - she contacted the EK guy up in immigration and told me I was entitled to use the line and she even offered to accompany me to make sure I got through. I told her I should be ok, went up to the line and the DXB guy in Blue still didnt want to let me through but his colleague advised that I was ok. I went to see the EK guy and he told me that EK only train them on Skywards so he had no clue about World Rewards.

Summary for TLDR:

1) Get a paper boarding pass as this will show the word "partner"
2) Take a print out of the World Rewards web page which indicates you are entitled as a Marriott Elite (Ambassador/Titanium/Platinum) Member to both Priority Check in and Priority Boarding

Do note that there is no lounge access with this program
