First class options
I have been trying to use award redemptions in premium cabins for ages for my husband and I flying to Europe and using QF points.
I managed to get First award seats for one person on two flights, one 777 and other A380. As award redemption was extremely limited my husband insisted I take the first seats (I have a spinal injury) while he flies Y on same flights. it’s not until March next year and I believe I can get him better options as the date gets nearer however in case I can’t find him a seat in First or J on same flight I have queries: having used QF award booking to also secure the economy seat, is there any way to upgrade to J at least with points or cash if it’s available? As these flights have a four hour stopover in Dubai and I have access to first class lounge, can we pay for him to join me? Do you get pyjamas on day flights in first (6-7 hours?) We always use award redemption on our holidays as it makes it so easy to make changes to flights and locations. We are lowly Bronze with QF now due to lack of travel so the award offerings for two people together seems impossible. |

Some of these questions would be better asked in the QF forum as they relate to the QF Frequent Flyer programme.

I think the only option would be to cancel the Y and rebook in J/F if available.
There is an unwritten rule that F passengers are entitled to a guest at DXB. How that's managed for QF awards, I'm not sure. The other option would be to pay USD250 for F access. Not usually, but you can ask - they normally have some on board. |
