Emirates catering
 

On their website the Emirates catering facility state they cater everyone of Emirates flights globally.
Is that true and the planes go out with both outbound and inbound meals or do they use out station catering like most airlines?

dnata provide catering and handling services at 126 ports. It is part of EK Group.

I believe some flights are catered for the return, like CAI, but others on this forum will know more.

Depends where it's going but basically there is catering loading by local contractors at outstations. Turnarounds are double catered ex-DXB by EKFC as a general rule.

Sometimes that contractor is dnata, which is part of the Group.

It's not monolithic, sometimes elements of each class of service are return catered (e.g. sometimes the alcohol, cracker packs for Y, sealed things like the nuts etc.)

For all shorter flights up to approx 4 hours +- (direct turnaround) the catering is provided for both inbound and outbound flights. Such as AMM, BEY, CAI, MLE and IST, likely all Pakistan and India flights and some flights to destinations in Africa. Otherwise EK is handling things like all other airlines with Drinks and packaged items often catered for both flights etc.

As I found out recently food is taken and from Dubai to Bali for the return flight as they do not have a contractor there to provide what they want
