Transfer Time Enough in DXB?
 

Hi all,

I tried to book a trip from NYC to PVG from Air Canada. The best option is JFK -> DXB (1h45m transfer) -> PVG via Emirates for just 60k mileage. However, I found that it involves a terminal transfer and security check in DXB. Does anyone know if less than 2h of transfer time is enough for both terminal change (T1 to T3) and security check at Terminal 3?

If this is all on Emirates, then there won't be a terminal change. All Emirates flights arrive and depart from T3. You'll need to re-clear security, but 1h45m hours is plenty of time to connect.

If the JFK-DXB and DXB-PVG sectors are both operated by Emirates, 1h 45m is more than enough time.

Thanks. Yes both sectors are Emirates airlines. I guess it's enough for me to transfer then.

I am not sure where you read a change of terminal, you will will probably maybe go A Gates to B or C but not T3 to T1 as both sectors seem to be A380's. MCU is 45 mins if I recall and you in theory have an hour and twenty mins which is enougth to get off, grab something quick from the lounge and head in to the next flight.
