Emirates A380 Flies with Hole

So does anybody know the real details? Did they really fly 14 hours knowing they'd had an issue?

There's a thread on pprune. Sounds like a tyre blew just as it reached cruising altitude, but the crew didn't know about the hole. The manual says to continue to destination.

Right after a burst tire, but flying well otherwise, it doesn't make sense to land hot and heavy in Dubai. They made the right call to continue IMO.

A bit more info on this in the above link. Honestly it's a non issue IMHO. The modern planes are pretty robust and it would not concern me at all . And yes the EK pilot made the right decision.
