Question about Dubai Connect
 

I would really appreciate if someone could help me with understanding the conditions to qualify for Dubai Connect.

I have a KTM-DXB-CDG flight and there are about 15 different flight combinations. From what I understand you do not qualify if there is an earlier flight and you deliberately choose to do a longer layover. Is this correct?
What I don't understand though if this applies to all flight combinations or only the DXB-CDG part. If I choose the earliest flight out of KTM then the earliest connection to CDG would still be more than 10hrs, so I would qualify? Does it matter that there are other combinations KTM-DXB-CDG with shorter layovers but with a later departure time from KTM?

The second question I have is if the itinerary has a segment with flydubai, does the ticket qualify for Dubai Connect?
Is Emirates strict in checking these rules?
