Notes from recent F trip
Hi all,
We did an trip in F from FRA-DXB-MLE and return last week.
Connecting passengers in F are now met at the PBB when arriving in DXB and driven via buggy to the next available lounge. In some cases you are picked up from the F lounge and escorted to the next flight.
F Lounge in concourse A is reopen. The lounge is very empty as A currently services very few flights while the majority is being managed in B.Only half of the lounge is operational and the food is offered in a central dining area. There is no offering at the individual gates. Good availability of showers and quiet spaces as very few passengers in the lounge. Had a delicious burger from the a la carte menu.
Onboard F service is “back to normal”. In fact I found the cabin attendants and service levels better than before the pandemic. The staff is totally motivated and want you to really enjoy the onboard experience. We did wine tastings during our meals and our FA even came to the bar area to bring us the F drinks menu with offers to serve us DP and wines from the front. It was so great to be back on the A380!
We misplaced a camera on the flight from FRA-DXB. Received an email that it had been found and managed pick up from Lost Property office on our return transit.
On the whole an exceptional experience.

I will be flying in F from CDG to DXB on Jan 1. I hope to receive similar level of service this gets me excited!! thanks for the post.
I do wonder though, since I will be connecting to a two-class 77W with no F, will I still be allowed to enter F lounge or will I be directed to J lounge? Sorry if this has been asked thousand times. I am a complete newbie when it comes to flying with EK.

On a recent trip, the driver of my buggy was Max Verstappen (or Lewis Hamilton, or for the older ones amongst us Michael Schumacher). He certainly hit the pedal, scaring the 'footfolk' on the way. The lady who was in charge of our transfer (she stands at the end of the airbridge with a sign with your name on it) was rather 'assertive'. As there is no separate priority line for security, she literally pushed people out of the (long) line and 'inserted' us into the free space created. In a matter of minutes we were from arrival at C12 in the lounge, which is normally a 20 - 30 minute 'walk and wait'.

BA should rename their First product to Business Minus.
My recent experiences with them have been beyond disappointing.
I have a flight on EK in the new First Class in January... looking forward to the experience.

Great F flight from MAN to DXB, but disappointing ground experience at DXB. No buggy - so a long walk back to arrivals (hard work with wine for 3 weeks!). I asked about the buggy, and they said they’d stopped doing them (which I think is BS…).
