Loganair/Emirates interline
 

Loganair & Emirates seemingly have an interline agreement for ticketing and through-checking of bags. However for some reason this seems to exclude the GLA/EXT and NCL/EXT routes. On the Emirates web-site, I can book connecting flights to some Loganair destinations but not EXT! Is there any reason why this might be the case?!

Could be you'd be going too far in the wrong direction - they often don't list prices for "odd" routings, or the cynical side off me says it might be to avoid the APD dodge out of EXT if it's still in place.

ETA: The timing is also poor in winter when an overnight would be needed in GLA at least.

Thanks for the reply - sadly no APD exemption for EXT, I just happen to live 20mins away! I think I have now worked out this is an MCT issue (or at least an Emirates web-site connection time issue!) The outbound (EXT->GLA->DXB) is a 75 minute connection, which the Emirates web-site refuses to offer (though it does offer the 25h15m connection to the following day!) On the return, DXB->NCL->EXT (2h55 connection) is bookable.

Domestic to International MCT at GLA seems to be 45mins, so it appears to be an Emirates web-site problem - will call them and see if I can book over the phone.

You need to look at the whole table, not just the top line. There is a specific LM to international MCT.

Thanks Karfa, 90min MCT would certainly scupper it and almost certainly the reason! Emirates call centre could offer no explanation why I (or they) couldn’t book the 75min connection, but this does explain it. Loganair are obviously not as confident in their on-time arrival performance as the other airlines operating out of GLA!
