The chances of having a meetup happen are fairly small. But I've had one success which was great, and one that was a no show because the person fell asleep in the airside hotel and didn't wake up in time to meet!
I found it to be very enjoyable experience when it works, which is why I continue to post here when travelling. I encourage others to do the same.

yes. I wasn't going to mention names! No problem, sleep is always a good thing to get when travelling. I'm hoping we can meet up some time in the future.

There may be other issues that might make this alternative unacceptable. I'm not sure how this is resolved.

I've met other posters not on the same flight and/or not needing guested through this thread or its predecessors. I seem to recall we used to put "Happy to help" or something similar on the end of the message if we could guest others in.
