Buy miles at up to 30% off

Probably not the best time to speculatively purchase miles, but Emirates are currently running a sale on purchased miles until 9th April.
I think 30% off is the biggest discount i can remember on EK miles?

5,000 - 24,000 = 20% off
25,000 - 49,000 = 25% off
50,000 - 200,000 = 30% off

By comparison, EY are offering 40% off miles with no minimum purchase.

I don't disagree with you, and i wouldn't be stock piling miles at this time, but may i ask what your reason behind this is?

With Skywards, how many miles (Ballpark) are required for a return Business class flight from the UK to BKK? TIA.

There's a calculator on the website here that will tell you:

https://www.emirates.com/account/eng...alculator.aspx

so it's 150,000 miles for a Business Saver Reward and 207,500 for a Business Flex Plus Award.

I have 45,000 miles but no chance of using them for flights. EK doesn't seem to have the extensive gift shop that EY has. Any ideas what I can use them for?

Going off topic... but would anybody else be interested if EK did the same deal as EY?

Buy vouchers with a 50% bonus added by EY.

I'd be all over it!!!

Was thinking exactly that last night. Yes i would definitely buy into that. With EY i am unsure. The deal is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has travel plans which are likely to go ahead, but the catch is if EY increase the usual pricing.

It won't let me buy because I don't have any partner activity (my easy jet flights were cancelled). How can I buy the one's I'm short without raiding my Marriott pot? Am in UK.

If you have a close friend/ family member who has a eligible account then get him/her to buy .

While it costs money to transfer miles you can upgrade eligible tickets using miles from any account.

You will have to ask them to log into their account and upgrade your ticket for you.

PS: it's been over a year since I have done this and I hope that things are still the same.

When I checked last week, there was lots of Saver Reward availability (J & F) from September onwards on UK-DXB (and maybe further). The taxes/surcharges are still reduced.

Bohemia Jul 15, 2020 7:40 am

Using a co-branded card it is always a 25% discount, is that better or worse with the 45% bonus miles? say for 100k miles purchase
