Malindo to Emirates interline
 

I am looking at booking a ticket via Emirates which includes a leg from KUL on Malindo Air. Malindo Air lists EK as an interline partner but I thought I would email them to check that I’d be OK to assume my bag would be checked through. Received a copy and paste response this morning stating that bags “cannot be transferred directly to the final destination if the flights are in separate bookings or a different carrier.” Does that mean they, in fact, won’t interline with anyone?

Anyone have experience of trying this connection at KUL? Thanks!

Ive done a connection before on Malindo all on one ticket with EK and i can confirm they checked the bag all the way to final destination.

Was that connecting from Malindo Air to Emirates? If so, perfect, seems Malindo Air’s team don’t actually know their own rules.
