Check through FlyDubai/Emirates separate tickets
 

Hi there,

I am currently looking at an itenary KTM-DXB-India.
Unfortunately there is no booking in one booking possible, so I need to book separate tickets.
KRM-DXB is offered by FlyDubai DXB-India is Emirates.

My questions:
a) can I check my luggage through in KTM already ?
b) what is the MCT in DXB ?

Where are you headed in India. FZ/EK is a very indirect route wherever you are headed... Probably why it won't price as a through ticket.

FZ is not a nice airline to fly so it baffles me why you would want to fly such a roundabout route.

Purely because of flight times, which I need. The other Alternative would be IndiGo.

Well I would try both the EK and FZ sites (you don't say which site you were trying). Failing that, try an OTA. On ita.matrix, hipmunk or kiwi you should be able to force a routing via DXB.

I've generally been able to check bags through on separate EK/FZ tickets from my point of origin. There were a few times I had to organise it at the T2 transfer desk, but I can't remember if that was FZ to EK or FZ to QF.
