Emirates Wishlist for 2020 (incl Route Rumours)
As a resident in Moz I keep seeing stories about Emirates possibly coming to Mozambique. I hope the introduction of new planes makes opening routes like Maputo possible. The sooner the better.

Any chance of the return of the 3rd daily non-stop DXB-JFK? I really like the idea of a 15h00 departure from DXB, and I think the return departure from JFK was around 1600.

EK has only 8 A380 on order and FZ cannot further expand as B737 MAX is grounded.
Not sure if B77X will be delivered as planned in 2021.
Big expansion will only take place starting 2023 once B789 and A359 arrive.
long term plan:
Europe
HEL, OTP, BEG, KBP, NAP (EK to take over some flights from FZ)
subject to bilateral BER and STR
GOT, TLS, AGP (suitable destination for B789/A359)
4th daily to MAN
3rd daily to ZRH, DUS, MAD
2nd daily to CPH, OSL, LED, WAW, VCE
FRA, MUC, AMS, FCO, MXP, VIE to be served only by A380
AustralAsia
Langkawi, Penang, Pune
secondary cities in China e.g. CTU, HGH, SZX, KMG, XIY, CKG, NKG, XMN and Indonesia e.g. Medan, Surabaya (suitable destination for B789/A359)
2nd daily to ICN, TPE, SGN, HAN, PER, ADL
A380 to HND
key cities like HKG, BKK, SIN, SYD, MEL to be served only by A380
enhancement of QF partnership from SIN, SYD and MEL (e.g. SYD-CHC and SIN-MEL to be flown by QF; QF to launch Darwin/Cairns-SIN with EK Code-Share)
America
subject to bilaterlas more destinations in Canada (YVR, YYC, YUL), ATL, BOG
A380 to ORD and BOS (or 2nd daily B77W)
2nd daily to LAX, SFO, IAD
Africa
Sansibar, Kilimanjaro, Kigali, Libreville, Kinshasa, Windhoek (suitable destination for B789/A359)
2nd daily to ADD, DAR

3 extra flights a week, using 3-class 77Ws to go along with the daily A380.
Hope that become a year-round second daily soon
