Two follow up questions, not sure to post here or on Alaska thread:
Flying SNA-SFO-ORD in coach (Class W) on AS
Flying ORD-DXB-BKK in Business (Class D) on EK
All on the same ticket
- What's the luggage allowance per passenger at check-in in SNA provided the main portion is in business?
- Lounge access provided at airports?
Thank you!

Is the bar on the A380 open again?
What about the lounges? (CDG specifically)
Thanks

The lounges in DXB B concourse are open. When you look for CDG here might be a third party lounge open. The EK website refers to the 'Paul Maxance' lounge.

I have answers to my above questions ...
No lounges at SNA or SFO, especially with the AS Class W ticket. EK's lounge in ORD shared jointly with other carriers is the saddest and most disappointing I have ever experienced.
Luggage allowance at trip commencement at SNA was for Business Class based on the international segment and we were not charged for the additional luggage.
Arrived at destination, and currently quarantining at an ASQ property, Le Meridien Bangkok.

Are the showers open in the DXB and JFK lounges? I'll be traveling on 12/30. (First time on EK, despite my two decades of posting on FT.)

And yes, the showers in the DXB lounge are open (did not use them yesterday due to a short connection).

Most of the J lounge was cordoned off. Everyone was pushed into one area near the food station - which seems a bit daft.

We arrived at DXB from CPT on a delayed flight at around 8:20 (fortunately at B22 and not at a remote stand) and left on EK29 at 9:40. Departure was from C9, so no time to go even near a lounge...But got plenty of morning exercise!

Hi everyone
Is there any way to make a combined award booking of a flight connecting a flydubai leg into DXB continuing on Emirates? Other than having the checked luggage continue all the way automatically, I'm hoping there's some way to have a single, reasonable cost in miles instead of the very short leg on flydubai (in business) converting to miles in an unreasonable poor rate.
Thanks!
