That will book into Z, a first class fare basis which will let you in the lounge. You could consider flying into TPE and hopping to MNL on a separate ticket to go F the entire way. Also keep in mind that the 380 will likely not operate before October, so plan accordingly.

Last time I flew into MNL, EK were not flying there on a380s only 777 and I am pretty sure it is the same now?? It is bad enough paying F prices when you have to fly a380 F then J on a 2 class a380, it is even worse going from F to 777 J! I would not recommend.

Yeah, I'm looking at other options such as F to SIN or TPE then onward.

I was looking at TPE and didn't see F (but I do see it to SIN). However, I didn't look to long so I could have missed something. I am open to getting most of the way there in F. I'm looking for something the last week of June/first week of July. Right now the schedule is an A380 but it's a gamble.

Sorry I forgot tpe historically gets an a380 but it is usually a 2 class.

A true newbie's question..... I am looking into a SIN-DXB-ORD flight in F for Nov..... I wanted to determine whether the DBX -ORD segment on B777-ER300 has the newer suite, which I believe i could determine if the configuration is 1-1-1. But I don't see how to ascertain that info without going all the way through the reservation process to get to seat selection.... am I missing something earlier in the process?? I have not yet created an EK account so I am just going through EK website to book a flight. Thankss

Note that nothing is guaranteed now - ek usually doesnt do a lot of aircraft swaps often, but the after effects of covid may change that

Also, have a look at the Wiki in the following thread, This gives the routes where the new F class is normally present. Of course, who knows how this will look in 6 months...

Hello FT'ers
Once all this Covid business is over (if ever) I am thinking of flying Business class from the UK to either HKG or BKK. Although I could connect at DXB, would it be possible to buy a ticket without too much financial penalty where I flew from the UK to DXB, then night stopped in the Airport International Hotel before continuing my journey say 12 to 24 hours later? Presumably the EK web site would not offer this. Also would I be able to purchase EK Business Class UK-DXB (n/stop)-BKK then after a number of days in the Kingdom of Thailand do the same on the reverse flights, that is if EK fly HKG-BKK. TIA

If you're just asking if you can split the trip to include an overnight stay (and pay for the hotel yourself), then the EK site normally will show all valid connections up to 24 hours (you may have to click the 'more options' button). Alternatively, use the multi-city as mentioned above.

Thank you both for the info, I am OK to pay for the hotel myself. It is just something I am thinking of, when I flew EK Business class in January from BHX-BKK the changing of flights plus the second flight was all a bit of a blur (No, not too much Moet)
I just think it will be more relaxing to have UK Lounge, then a nice flight to DXB, 12 -24 hours in the hotel, DXB Lounge then a nice 2nd leg flight fully relaxed.
I do not mind paying alittle extra, just that I didn't want to buy two tickets, once again thanks FT'ers

Does Emirates allow you put a cash fare on hold between BKK and PNH?
