Tim Clark resigned today

Will stay with EK until June.

We need a rumour thread, dont think this necessarily deserves an entire topic!

I think it was planned for sometime, as he has a new house built in our village.

Wow RIP to a legend.

How much does he make do we know? The consultant gig post-retirement must also be nice.

Respect to this man!

Enough !

He will most likely retain his travel and accommodation perks

I'm starting to wonder why he stayed until age 70 - he must have genuinely liked the job.

What I'd like to see is an interview of him recounting the early days, how they dealt with the Gulf War and other geopolitical crises of the day. These were mostly pre-internet so there is very little info online.

I would venture that multiple publishing houses are/will be bidding for his memoirs (which I would definitely read!).
