You don't have to socialise. You can go the bar and be miserable there too. Even more so if someone turns up with screaming kids

"plus AC/USB power points added around the tables"
That's all we need - pax tapping away on their phones or laptops in the bar. It is a social, not work, area.
All seats have power points,we don't need any in the bar.

I do like to work in the lounge actually. I find the J seat way too narrow, my shoulders hit the sides of the seat's frame (what do you call this?) which makes it very uncomfortable to work, the sofas in the lounge do not have such problem, assuming it's not fully occupied.

We may have been silently judging each other from across the bar!
Or more likely eye rolling at the cringeworthy flirting going on and every mention of “I work in x”...
(x is left to the reader’s imagination lest I cause a riot on FT)

Haha! - although I think the reaction from every crew member would be to revert to by the book training because everyone knows that scheduling staff are almost like revenue management - locked away in the highest recesses of EGHQ never to see the light of day, only to emerge via phone on a dreaded airport standby or home reserve month as a disembodied voice; so it’s obviously a trap
