£5k for one way economy
I usually book one ways to Asia with a couple of days stop over in Dubai. Normally in Economy this costs me between £400 and £600 give or take. Searching today for London to Hong Kong or Bangkok via Dubai mid July I'm getting £5,033 and £4,600 respectively. Is this a decimal point error or are those real prices? I also tried Taipei (Taiwan is final destination) but it wouldn't even give prices, says I need to call??

Seems like a glitch with the free stopover...I just ran some searches with and without a stop oneway and definitely a huge difference. Unless there's a rule about no free stop over on one way tickets I'm forgetting? I would just call them

Regardless one way prices in Y for some sectors were jacked up yesterday for summer ex-DXB
For last few years, standard one way far in Y for DXB-DAC has been hovering between 600 and 850 .
After lunch yesterday I went to buy a ticket and saw that for July and August , the fare is 1450. I was eyeing the fare at 900 for last 2 weeks, so a near 60% rise

Checking today I was still having the same issue. I called Emirates and they have confirmed the fare rules have changed and don't permit long stop overs on one way tickets any more. Bummer!! Returns still work though but not ideal as I never know the exact date I need to come back. The long stop overs on one way tickets were the best thing about Emirates for me.

Update: The above is what online chat said - they weren't permitted. The guy on the phone said they're permitted and unlimited in duration but at a price of £5k they might as well be prohibited Seems like Emirates just doesn't want these kinds of tickets being booked. I tried into October too, so it's not just a summer thing.

Just book a return and pay the change fee once you know your dates or throw it away. On a Flex ticket the change fee for me is usually $30. Just changed my ticket twice at that price (+ fare difference for one change)
