Malta-Cyprus route

has anyone taken this 3.5 hour flight in f or c? What kind of Service might one expect?

I have in F and J. In First class everything is pretty much the same except, no canapes or caviar on the menu, no snack baskets, and they provide the same blanket as business class. in J it is the standard Emirates business experience.

No Pre Departure Drinks in LCA

Also no Alcohol is served on the ground in Lanrnaca, ostensibly due to “local regulation” or more likely “cost cutting”.

More likely a combination. Local regulations might require excise duties to be paid or locally catered alcohol, neither of which may be feasible, financially or logistically. This is in fact common at many stations around the world

It's a nice little sector. J cabin was virtually empty except for some Maltese FIFA officials when I flew it last year.

Thank you for the responses. While it is certainly short hall, would they carry the long hall amenities (kit, pj's)? If I ask for them, might they provide?

No, they don't. I flew DXB-MLA (stopover in LCA) couple of times in business, last time in May. I was tired so I wanted to sleep in the morning but they neither had mattresses, nor amenity kits, which is surprising considering the total flight time of 8h15min. EK treats this route like two separate legs despite passengers flying all the way to/from MLA/DXB don't change or leave the plane in LCA. I flew DXB-VIE 6h flight in business this month and they had both mattresses and nice amenity Bulgari kit, but nothing in DXB/MLA route. I wonder how EK determine these things. I just flew DXB-WAW 6h flight in business and they had mattresses but no amenity kits...

They determine considering the distance of flight , time of day of flight AND what the competition offers/doesnt offer ! When I've flown this route , the FAs appeared to treat it as rest period ie were not used to working much, and were quite effective at not appearing !
