Dubai Stopover Baggage Questions

Hi All

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I will be flying CMB-DXB-JFK later this week with a long layover (12 hours) in DXB. Assuming I stay within my baggage allowance in terms of pieces and weight, will I be allowed to check in a bag during my layover in Dubai (to JFK)?

Many thanks

On that same topic (generally), I have a 15 hour layover next month and do not want to deal with the bag I check in DFW, want it to just transit on its way to KUL. Is that standard practice? I was just going to pack a few items in my backpack I will carry on for my 10 hour hotel stay.

Hi TXWayne - typically with layovers under 24 hours at DXB they will check your bags through all the way to your final destination.

Unless you request for a short check it'll go all the way by default.

Would that also be the case for a Dubai Connect stopover?

Generally yes, though they might ask you if you want to short-check.
