Chance of switching to earlier flight

Hi all EK experts what would be the likelihood of being allowed to travel on EK384 instead of 376 as the latter has been changed from 388 to 77W

In my experience ..on a restricted ie "cheap" fare...zero chance.I've asked many many times. Some other airlines may sometimes allow, however EK..No.

If you have a Flex Plus ticket then this will be no problem at all. With a Saver or Flex Plus it is possible but in my experience, there is no chance of them waiving the fee. I was once at the airport as a flight was leaving with empty seats (my flight was three hours later) and they still wouldn’t let me on it without the change fee.
