Fake ticket

This is fake isn't it? https://i.imgur.com/hG1QeYz.jpg
(I'm not quite clear what the scam is but basically this was sent by supposed American male to Indonesian female. )

I removed the name & booking reference but it looks photoshopped otherwise?

Looks nothing like the current online automatically issues E-Tickets but it says it was issued by emirates UK and that may be a different format due to different system.

On my phone no but can look up the fare construction and base fare on EF later. The information is all pretty much the same as current tickets, but I also note the ticket number beginning 173 and EK is 176. Can't you out the booking ref and name into MMB and see?

Fare construction is incorrect, as showing YTO which is Toronto and NOT Bali (DPS)!!

Airline code 173 doesn't exist. Emirates is 176.
Emirates logo looks old. Currently the Expo 2020 logo is usually attached.
Moreover, I would expect texts to be aligned.
Definitively a fake.

Out of curiosity. Why the man sent a fake e-ticket ? A behind the counter sale ?

Could be phishing attempt ("Send me your information so i can attach it to this booking!"), or a flat out scam, like "Just pay the change fee and this is yours!" or "I'll sell you this ticket at a discount".

Expo logo as far back as 4 years ago. World Cup Brasil in that time too.

I'm having to go back 5 years to see a similar layout to the OP, but even then it's not identical.

The arrival date/time looks fake too. Dubai has local time ahead of UK, and the arrival time is ahead of the departure time for EK028.

From what I can see he contacts a bunch of women on Facebook/Whatsapp, then at some point arranges to meet them. The guy is representing himself as a white guy (with a child, incidentally) which seems to be attractive to a lot of women here. He has sent one of these women the 'ticket'

I'm not quite clear what the scam is, whether he thinks he can get money, or if he just wants to trick the women for fun (this ticket is to Bali, she is in Medan), or to meet under false pretences to try and get sex, I don't know.

I can very clearly see where this document has been edited using white squares and text boxes.

I dont think GLA and DPS have a "per piece" luggage allowance, either. And there's no DXB terminal 4!

Yeah plus someone else mentioned fare construction referring to Toronto, indicating this might've been a Canadian issued ticket that was photoshopped, since North America has the piece concept

The fare calculation shows YTO (Toronto).
