Adding Infant on Award Booking

I will be making a booking for travel with EK using partner miles in Business Class, what are the charges to add an infant to my booking?

Flame3601 Feb 1, 2018 1:13 pm

Can't answer your question, but just wanna make sure you have checked that there is indeed reward space open for miles ?

Plenty of award space... called EK and they confirmed it is 10% of Fare

Do you need award space for a bassinet seat?

navatwal Feb 2, 2018 9:16 am

Booking in F or Business, Infant in Lap will do.

No, you don't - only for the pax travelling with the inf.

That will probably be 10% (money) of the first or business full cash fare(money). Not 10% of the ff miles.

If I can piggyback off of this post... trying to get 3 adults in premium cabin from LAX to SE Asia this November WITH AN INFANT. Getting so much conflicting info about which airlines allow infants on award tickets. Any advice on finding the best flight (as in 1 stop, not too expensive for infamt). I have miles for just about all airlines that are part of the 3 big alliances. Thx!!!

It's 10% of the miles required to upgrade the passenger the infant is booked with. Plus 10% of taxes if those are due too.

joaozinho Feb 4, 2018 6:27 pm

thank you everybody!!!!

spideysense Feb 11, 2018 10:10 pm

No, it’s 10% of the revenue fare, even if you use miles. Trust me, I had to pay for it twice. Luckily, they were very nice and ended up giving our infant his own seat to sleep in each time (F was not full).
