Presumably the marketing synergy of LVMH - they offer cut price Dom Perignon, Hennessy Paradis, Belvedere, Moët, Veuve, Bvlgari as a sort of halo to their targeted demographics (EK F/J pax).

Just like they ruin manhattans. At least now we don't have to suffer Jack Daniels. Woodford Reserve still has too low of a rye content for it to be a "proper" manhattan, but its definitely a huge upgrade- I now have 3 sipping whisky choices. And don't get me started on the Martini Rosso vermouth...
