IAD back on the 777?
A quick look at late Sept shows IAD back on the 777, anyone know anything more?

I was booked on BA SFO A380 Now on 777?? Gutted

I still see a380 in October...would be so sad if they went back to 777.

It shows EK will change from A380 to B777 on the 12th of Sept for their IAD flight. Not sure when and if it will change back to A380.

Odd. Test dates Nov. 18th-28th still show EK 232, 231 being A380s.

Something about September resulting in decreased passenger loads?

Thanksgiving in the US on 23rd November, may be a temporary measure for 2 weeks around Thanksgiving.

Checked EF, A380 is back from 8 October 2017.

It could also be related to maintenance, maybe they're short an aircraft for a bit and chose IAD as the route to cut. Doubtful though given the rumoured overcapacity.

IAD switch from A380 to 777?
I was just checking my booking to verify things for my honeymoon trip on Sep 17 (fiancee has never flown any kind of premium cabin, so I cashed in some AmEx Rewards points to book us in J), and it looks like IAD-DXB is switching to 777-300 sometime in the next couple of weeks?

Anyone know anything about this? I haven't found anything about the switch online and no mention of the A380 service being seasonal.

A little disappointed because I had very carefully chosen our A380 seats and now they've moved us into the awkward middle section of the 2-3-2 configuration, and no other open seats are currently open in business. Had also been looking forward to the on-board bar, which I've never enjoyed before since my previous EK J trips have truly been "work" flights where I had my laptop out the whole way.

Not a big deal all things considered but wondered if anyone knew anything about this equip change.

There was a recent thread on this but I also can't find it now. It's switched for about a 6-week period it seems

This really sucks. I booked the IAD flight for the last week in October. It still says A380 but i checked the seat map and it looks like 200 seats are still available for this flight. Chances are they will change my flights to a 777 also. This sucks because I booked purposely from IAD to take the A380. Are they changing the aircraft to a 777 often at IAD on emirates?
