It does look like the flight has been operated by 2 Class aircraft for the past week (A6-EWA, EWB, EWH, EWI) according to FR24. Can’t find any reference if this is a temporary change or not.

SEA's long runway (16L/34R) is closed for maintenance till end of November, and the only runways remaining are 2500ft shorter. I'm guessing they can't fly a 77W with the loads/fuel they want during this time. SEA is relatively low and cold, 500ft above sea level, so seasonal weather isn't a factor.

"SEA is relatively low and cold"
For an aircraft performance, an airport located low with cold temperatures, is much better than one located high with hot temperatures.

I see that F is being sold on this route through the end of schedule. Is there a plan to remove F from DXB-SEA?

My apologies, I saw a post in another thread claiming that 229/230 was 2-class only now. I saw that F was being sold and corrected the poster, but this thread about at 77L being used in Seattle and the 77Ls going 2-class only caused me to second guess myself. It seems that not all 77Ls are 2-class only yet, and when SEA runway construction is finished the route will go back to 77W.

Yep - just saying that the runway is the most likely reason for the downgauge.

Just picked this up from PPRuNe BHX (sorry if its been posted earlier but couldn't find it)
"Emirates winter 18/19
The lunchtime EK39/40 flight will be downgraded from an A380 to a B777-300ER from 7th November 2018
It is not known if this is permanent or temporary"

My four fights after this are still showing seat choice on A380 and dummy bookings for November & December are still showing A380 on all flights so perhaps the back room has not caught up yet

Also previous as (at least for my impression) only temporarely announced reductions like FRA and MUC (for both one daily flight was reduced from A380 to B77W) seems to be permant now.

Picked this up elsewhere
{ Looks like this plan has been scrubbed due to a shortage of Boeing pilots? Which may explain the reduction in flights to EDI?]

Courtesy of Airlineroutes
Emirates from December 2018 further increases capacity on Dubai – Manchester route, as the airline schedules 2nd daily 2-class A380 operation. From 01DEC18, EK021/022 will see 2-class 615-seater A380 operating, instead of 3-class aircraft on daily basis. Apart from temporary reduction during Dubai International Airport runway maintenance project from 16APR19 to 30MAY19, EK021/022 will also see 2-class A380 continue operating during summer 2019 season, from 31MAR19.
