Apart from temporary reduction during Dubai International Airport runway maintenance project from 16APR19 to 30MAY19, EK021/022 will also see 2-class A380 continue operating during summer 2019 season, from 31MAR19.
So does that mean there will be only 2 class frames on the MAN route? That would make a regular poster here very unhappy

Noni think there's still F on the other rotation. He hasn't thrown his Toys yet

Ah yes, I see. Did not realise there are 3 daily rotations. Would appear that 17/18 stays 3 class.

A380 to HAM

Hi all,

starting from 29th November, EK will put A380 on the route to HAM.
Website says that on the 29th, the morning flight (EK59) will have A380, but from the 30th, the afternoon flight (EK61) will have it.
Is the information on the website reliable?

Thanks
Marco

It will be reliable if it is on the website, but equipment can be swapped at any time and EK will not notify you unless you have been downgraded or offloaded.

It is fair to assume that you will be on the A388. They have a few hanging around now that they've culled so many to and from Australia.

Yes, exactly, maybe they will swap A388.
But, it will be inaugural A388 flight to HAM, so the unlikely switch to 77W

Hi Marco,

Looking at ExpertFlyer, the 388 service starts on 29 October, not 29 November.

And yes, on the 29th EK59 (the earlier flight) is a 388, EK61 is a 77W. From the 30th onwards, EF reports the 388 on the later flight and the 77W on the early one.
Please remember that this is what is planned at this moment and aircraft changes are always possible (and these days appear to occur more than in the past).

Could be that for the inaugural it's the earlier flight as it's more suitable to some celebration on arrival

Yeah, that is what I thought. At landing time there will be still light; if it was the evening flight, it will be still dark

Of course I meant October

EK384/385 switch to 77W

Emirates from mid-January 2019 is reducing capacity on Dubai – Bangkok – Hong Kongroute, currently served by 2-class A380 aircraft (selected dates served by 3-class). From 15JAN19, 2-class 777-300ER will operate this route on daily basis, replacing A380.

EK384 DXB0305 – 1205BKK1345 – 1740HKG 77W D
EK385 HKG2100 – 2315BKK0105+1 – 0500+1DXB 77W D

From 31MAR19, service will be operated by 3-class 777-300ER aircraft, however the 2-class A380 will temporary operate this route once again from 16APR19 to 30MAY19, DXB departure.
