Emirates has unveiled the new first class cabin for their 777s at the Dubai Air Show on November 12th, 2017.

Notably, the new F cabin is fully enclosed from floor to ceiling, has a reduction from 8 seats to 6 total, had virtual windows for the center cabins and features video-based room service ordering.

Business and Economy cabins have also been refreshed, but not completely overhauled.

Well, once in the last two months, it appears. So no-one should get their hopes up too much!

I don't think GLA is more likely to get the new F than any other 777 destination that doesn't currently get it looking through the recent movements of the 9 relevant frames. There has basically been only one rotation (or a couple in some cases) that has been on new F/J for a variety of outstations that already get 777s, presumably based on maximizing utilization with no particular pattern that I can discern. I can guarantee GLA won't be getting the new F between 16th April and 31st May for obvious reasons also...

for EK312, where do i see the seat map before completing the booking?

Please note that you are not supposed to cross post on FT. See the response on the other thread that you started with this question.

Interesting to note that HND is the only long-haul route that gets the new F.
Is HND a special market for EK?

I was advised by EK that STN gets the new F as they want to keep LHR/LGW a A380 market due to the higher demand. Maybe it's similar to HND?

So I just received a notification of seat change, and I just probably jinxed myself, but my leg from DXB-MLE in July is now showing a cabin with 6 F seats. This was made known to me after I called in and got told the seats were changed due to an aircraft change. I was thinking there's no way they would change to a 380, and the CSR told me it's a 777-300 ER.

I just checked EF, and sure enough the seat map shows 6 seats in F. Wondering if this is a temporary change or the next route to get the new cabin?

Just saw our MLE-DXB in July with the same change. Nice added bonus. Glad I used points to upgrade to F.
