I'm having a mad moment, perhaps it's the Tito's, but I arrive on Blinking Awful flight LHR-AUH @2300 night before (14/9) (tier run) I'm seriously thinking of a day trip for this.
You'd make it! I'm thinking we'll schedule for 5.30ish. 770 will get you into town around 5.30/6

OK, I won't know until Wed night though. Unreliable friend supposed to be coming to DXB with me, if he actually turns up then plan off. Otherwise I'm game for a day trip.

Make it a weekend at least! Then Friday will definitely be more fun because we're going to have to show you around a bit

Ok everyone, 3 days out, time to decide the venue: Let's meet at 5:30pm onwards at Bascule, with the option of moving to Den Anker or Quay Four around 7:30pm for dinner, if everyone's keen.

Perfect, will you be wearing your new Ambassadorial Robes to be recognisable? or do we all wave our Skywards cards?

I'll be wearing my red robes with an Emirates baseball cap and have several staff members beside me ready to server Arabic coffee

Not quite sure yet how or what, but I'll make a reservation for "Tim Clark" so ask for that if you can't figure it out

Correction, they don't take reservations but I'll let them know when I'm there to direct anyone asking for Tim Clark to send them my way

You do realise that ambassadors are expected to arrive with a big box of Ferrero Rocher for the riff-raff?

This is Africa. I'll have Pap and Boerie rolls.

(Heavy SA reference, maize based puree(?) And sausage in a hot dog bun)

Maybe I'll have some chocolate for those that are punctual
