Minimum Connection Possible?
Hi Guys,
Im Flying EK for the first time. I have a very tight, completely legal 1 hour international to international connection. It is from 2 AM - 3 AM. The connection I'm trying to make is DXB-FLL flying in J coming from a flight in Y. My question is how busy is the airport at that time? What happens if i miss my connection? If I miss my connection can i suggest flights to get me home? Ideally Id like to be on DXB-JFK on an 380 because J is 10000x better, get some lounge time, and get put on B6 from JFK-FLL. With such short connection is it worth running from gate to gate or should I just book myself a seat in the back of the cabin and slowly walk toward my gate? If i make it great if I miss it, greater. Anyone done anything like this before? |
If it's legal and you miss the flight they'll out you on the next flight to same destination, so a day later. No idea if you could argue for a reroute via JFK or another US flight as EK generally don't like rerouting on other carriers, even if codeshare partners.
