Sales / Special Fares - any recent sightings?

When was the last EK Sale for ex-UK/EU flights? They used to be quite regular, but I've not seen one for ages.

MAN-DXB flights seem to be £2500 in J these days. It doesn't appear to be much cheaper ex-EU from what I can see.

Anyone have any inside information on whether any sales are imminent?

Cheers

No sales just the odd discount code - prices are crazy although ex ams I can't get the 12 month stopover for a far more reasonable price than from man

BA have a got a sale on. £1300 in J, £1980 in F.

There are 2 problems :-

1. It's BA
2. It's BA

Although, I'm quite tempted to slum it!

Sounding familiar! I am doing the exact same thing next week. Fly to JHB & CPT regularly on EK but since Jan this year the prices have got completely insane on EK so doing LHR-CPT direct next week on BA (Yikes) for less money than EK want and direct overnight. I am thinking "It cant be that bad can it!?!"

For the current prices, just close your eyes and think of England

I would rather take the bus then to fly direct with BA on the CPT/JNB-LHR/LGWsegemnt , Ethiopian can be pretty reasonable this time of year along with QR( QR only if Outbound from SA originally )

Desparately hoping for an EK (or even Etihad) soon - looking at packages for next spring in J, EK is pricing around £250/head over BA.

For the 3 of us, the £750 is still worth it over BA when you factor in seat reservation fees and 4 transfers, better seats, service and lounges... But it is close!

And BA club is not considered comparable to EK business and I agree it's worth the extra

Where are the discount codes? I'm about to book another EK Y flight for July but prices are massively variable depending on flight times.
