Free Access to Marhaba Lounge at DXB for ex-BKK
Emirates is offering economy-class passengers from Thailand complimentary access to its premium lounge at Dubai airport. Those who make bookings on certain Emirates Economy Class tickets from Bangkok with layovers at Dubai before March 26, for outbound travel between May 1 and Nov 30, can take advantage of the privilege normally reserved for premium-class passengers.
The usage is up to four hours at the facility, which offers a full range of business services, open buffet and full bar service, the airline said in a release.
The complimentary lounge access is specifically provided to all Emirates customers who purchase an outbound flight on EK377 or EK351 but excludes passengers with Dubai as their final destination.

I thought that it was too good to be true.
OK folks, don’t get over alarmed by my previous post. The J and F lounges are not going to get packed with plebs.
I have just made a dummy booking BKK-LHR in Y within the date range given. And the following info appears:
"Fly Emirates from Bangkok to Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East and get a complimentary 4-hour access to the Marhaba Lounge while waiting for your connecting flight in Dubai. Enjoy an open buffet offering a variety of hot and cold cuisine and unlimited beverages, freshen up with the shower facilities or stay up to speed at the fully equipped business centre with complimentary Wi-Fi access. This offer is valid for bookings on EK351 or EK377 for the Bangkok-Dubai sector".

It's bad enough that any passenger in any class can now use the F lounge for a fee. One of the nicest things about EKs F lounges is even during peak times, it IS NEVER SO CROWDED THAT SERVICE DECLINES

Last week I was in the F lounge in the A concourse between 01:30-03:00 and the cigar room was packed. I've never seen it like that before & it really pis..d me off. It was more like a night club then a place to relax. The main part of the lounge didn't look like a madhouse the way the cigar/smoking lounge did but I also noticed a lot more people in the dining room then I usually see at this time of night. IMO EK is making a huge mistake opening the F lounge up to anyone who wants to pay. IMO, It's gonna bite them in the .... Next week I'm flying to JFK @ am gonna take EY instead. Their F lounge is nothing special but I can get a nice late dinner there & EYs F apartments are miles ahead of EKs F suites if maximum sleep on board is your goal as it is mine
