what to expect?

I'm on a 2 class plane tomorrow, slightly scared as I'm not used to J class and I'm not sure I'll get PJs or an amenity kit on the super long flight to Cairo - does anyone know?

Will I be on the super new business seats? What are the chances?

Do EK have hand lotion in the J class toilets?

pomkiwi Feb 8, 2017 11:54 pm

Never mind all that - how will you cope without the DP?

No PJ's for sure , new J class seats I would highly doubt it.

Just make sure you don't come into contact with some Y passengers on the top deck

Don't try to get upstairs to the shower room. That door at the front of the 777 is not, I repeat not a stairwell.

I believe OP is referring to a 777 operated flight and not a A380 flight , might be wrong. I believe he is on a 777 as he asks about if he will get the new J seats which are on the 777.

Indeed. He mentions CAI. That's not an A380 destination (as far as I am aware)

m3red's sarcasm is wasted on you lot.

:D

Pomkiwi - what do you mean no DP? I can't drink their non-vintage stuff - its far too young.

Its a 77w - 2 class - I think it may mean I come into contact with Y passengers - troubling times.

I hope you get a couple of masculine, hairy cabin crew members to lather you in the shower on board. :D

And if there's no showers on the 777 then a 'bed bath' at your seat should suffice.

At least there won't be any distress resulting from the upgrade policy discriminating against Plat members......

So apart from the cheese board and the window seat, how was it for you? When does the therapy start?

It was a new plane which was nice so the IFE was good, I found the seat cramped and a pain to climb over my wife when I wanted the bathroom. There's a reason F is so much better on the 777.

Service was very good, they let us keep drinking the Veuve Rose despite it technically being a PDB only and the cheese was nice. I'm going to write in to compliment them.

I just checked in at Cai (back in first thankfully) and the lady asked me if I left anything on the plane like headphones- I was like no then realised I clearly left them on the flight yesterday - any way after describing the brand (Bose qc35) I was handed them back! Bravo EK - sometimes the machine works so well and I am very happy to have them back. I now need to have a few glasses of DP to get over this and the fact I have to suffer with sky cruisers for 3 hours :D

And here I was on a red-eye from BHX yesterday in upper-deck Y in a center aisle with a neighbour with a pea-sized bladder, and J completely full so no chance to upgrade :(

One of the new new ones? Any pics of the seat? Did you venture down the back to see what Y was like or was J far enough down the back for you :p?

It was A6 EPQ

August 2016. Any 2 class planes with the new J seat been delivered? Thought they were only 3 class.

A6-EPY was delivered a couple of days ago and I haven't heard how it's configured, but the ones before that were all 3 class.
