Looking back again, I think A6-EPV was actually the first with the new J (I'm sure someone here can confirm), so anything delivered after that will also have them too.

Emirates generally registers its aircraft in alphabetical order, so it's relatively easy to keep track.

Are all 777s updates with the new business class? I am looking on a flight in Jan ATH-JFK on EK, wonder how the biz on that route is. Thanks.

No, less than 10% of the fleet have it. Only new aircraft are having it installed currently

Thanks. So how is the product on the 777? I see online its angled, but is it angled like the angled from the last century or just 170 degree and instead of 10?

I have found that the seats are not that much of a slope that you find yourself sliding down into the footwell. Only once did I find the seat uncomfortable and that was on on an older airframe but I’m sure you should still be able to ask for a mattress topper to add a bit of cushioning.

Just want to make sure you know this flight isn't to JFK, its to EWR. EK doesn't fly to Athens from JFK.

IMO for a flight of this duration you will be immensely more comfortable on a 380 than the 777.
In J that is...suites on the 777 are quite comfy

I agree with this opinion. Sure, it is not really flat. But I do find the seat quite comfortable and I have had many a good sleep on it (seeing that my home base of CPT only gets 777's).

Hi Guys

Does anyone know if the B77W with the new J seats are flying to MCO? If not, does FLL have the new seats?

Cheers

FLL is a 77L not 77W and generally should have new seats. The seat map will tell you (2-2-2 Vs 2-3-2)

If it's a 77L in 2-2-2 then its news seats. If it's a 77W, no way to tell until the inbound aircraft leaves DXB but looking at historical data, the new J seat has been to HKG once in the past month

Thanks kq747, it’s the 77W so guess it will be the old seats. I need to make a choice on a 7.50 departure on the 77W, or the 18.35 departure on the 380, any thoughts anyone?

18:35.... nice for evening cocktails in the bar. Arrive at Dubai ready for bed.
