Information on Load requests
The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.
NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.
For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:
Flight loads >7 days out are not very useful, as the airline could still sell many seats, unless availability of a specific fare bucket (e.g. Business Saver upgrade) is requested. If you wish to know the general flight load please don't post >7 days before departure.
When requesting a load please provide the following information:
- Date of flight (departure date)
- Flight Number
- Origin
- Destination
These four fields are mandatory in searching on ExpertFlyer (see screenshot below) and it isn't fair to except those who pay for their subscriptions to also have to go look up which cities a specific flight number is from and to (also some flight numbers are onward flights (5th freedom routes, e.g. CMB-MLE) and loads will differ significantly depending on which sector of the flight is checked.

D bucket. You can simply search the EK website for J Award space, however you need to search a return flight as J Saver awards are not available one-way

Just a quick general response on this to hopefully check my understanding. I have the 9.99 expert flyer package so i can look at my flight and see even although its a few weeks away, Economy is extremely vacant with only around 26 seats blocked off or booked at this point. I havent booked Emirates(outwith my Business booking for me) for a while and i cant remember if when booking with them, if you choose your economy seat there and then and it would therefore show as being booked.
Ideally i want to pick an emptier flight in the hope i can have some extra space in Economy as twice before i have ended up with 3 seats to myself.
Hope ive explained myself correctly and someone is able to confirm if the seat plan is a reflection of what is actually booked right now.
Thanks in advance and apologies if this is the wrong place.

Thanks I’m new to this forum, when should I request this?
We have booked and paid for preferred seats in economy on A380. 2 passengers in seats H and K, leaving seat J vacant.
Flights are BNE to DXB to BCN, then DXB to BNE (we are on a cruise from BCN to DXB hence no flight).
I am thinking about booking the J seat as an extra seat, can I monitor this?
Any advice is appreciated!!

more than 7 days in advance there's no value really to the loads. But even then it'll be difficult to say whrtwhea seat will remain open

For the basic account, you can check (up to five times/day if I remember correctly ) the seat map for your flight.
