Emirates Promo Code

On the on-line booking page there is a box for Promotional Code. Has anybody ever used one ? How do you get them ?

skywardhunter Jan 1, 2017 2:05 am

They come around occasionally, but quite specific, like pay with a UK Amex can get 10% off base-fare. Doesn't generally work out to much in terms of discount.

@steveben53 : you might want to look back at a thread where you yourself asked a series of questions about promo codes (almost exactly 12 months ago) - and where I did my best to offer you detailed responses .....

Promo codes.

I regularly use a 'promo' code with Emirates. For much of 2016 a 5% discount was available. For a few months a 7% off code was available for return flights from BHX (my home airport). Easy to find on-line.

Google Sydney Symphony Orchestra Emirates. It will direct you to a booking page that will give you 5% off Y saver, 8% off flex and 10% off flex plus. Just be aware that using promo codes can affect some of your fare conditions. I've used one in the past for personal travel and when trying to get a refund I had a double penalty (800AUD). Needless to say I didn't cancel...

You got me excited until:

These special fares are valid for departures from Australia for travel commencing on or before 30 June 2017.

Recently discovered one in the fine print of my (non-UK) bank card...gives 10% off the flex plus base fare year-round, so after the taxes charges etc. it seems to be giving something more like 3-4% on a flex fare.

This doesn't seem that bad as a simple benefit from your bank. May we know which bank?

sant2585 Jan 2, 2017 9:00 am

Maybank from Malaysia, and is an offer that applies across all their card types (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)

SGSAF01 - only for flights from Singapore!

Mits10 Sep 3, 2019 11:55 pm

There seems to be some Amex statement credits floating around for Emirates at the moment. My (UK Based) Gold card has a £200 credit against a min £1800 spend.

Got it too on a Platinum Card. Note that "Offer only valid on Business and First Class direct flights, departing from an UK airport."

I've got it also.

I wonder what "direct" means? As all UK flights go direct to DXB, I'd say it's a bit misleading.

Is MAN-AKL a direct flight? Nope :)

Not valid on Codeshares perhaps? Does EK Codeshare with Flybe or Easyjet? Or at least offer through-tickets?

I'm hoping they just mean booked on a single ticket which must start with an EK flight departing the UK rather than that must be the entire itinerary!

Yes - that's what I think it means.

escherfan Oct 21, 2019 10:57 am

I'm thinking about buying YYZ-DAC roundtrip with DXB stopover in March 2020 in J for 3 people. This will be my first time on EK. Does anyone know of any promo code availability? Thanks in advance!

xavzz Oct 21, 2019 1:35 pm

You can usually find a code laying around online. If you use J or F you can use a cashback website aswell and get another 1.25% off the ticket not including taxes but that can be something if you are flying 2 people in J or F. Currently as most people have said above their is a 200£ discount from Amex for the first 10k customers. Is this is all relative to the UK market btw. My mrs recently got a 20% off first class but thats no use to us. Have a look online or sometimes you will get an email from them.

redeternet7 Oct 27, 2019 8:44 am

Used a promo for topcashback but in the end realised it wasnt a good option, as this meant I couldnt get business rewards for the same ticket which would had been better. Had I known I wouldnt have gone through TCB
