Etiquette guidance: Send a (polite) private message to the poster if you want to be guested in, but do NOT pester (I'm sorry to have to spell it out) - take the first answer, it might be a yes or a no. If you are expecting to be guested into a lounge, please don't expect your "guester" to do all the work such as coming to find you, it is just plain rude. The more posts you have on FlyerTalk, the better your chances, as most people do not want to meet a complete stranger. This isn’t a lounge meet up but if anyone is around GLA on Friday 1st December from about 11:15hrs and fancies meeting up for a coffee either landslide or airside then let me know. It is my intent to meet at least one fellow FTer on this trip

Well, my cherry has finally been taken after 5 years as a Flyertalker. Although I’m on a Oneworld itinerary at the moment, I had the great pleasure of meeting up with fellow Emirates Flyertalk Ambassador sydtogla at the Caledonian bar at GLA.

T’was a pleasure to meet you finally sydtogla and in the spirit of all things Emirates, we had A6-EPU in the background, both wishing we were on that plane rather than the ones we were both going on 🤭.

What time do you arrive at? I’m sitting in the BA lounge at LHR T5 arriving into AMS just after 20:00hrs

I was J in KLM so Upperdeck, Saltire74 was in J with *A so he was there (lovely lounge btw). We met at the halfway point.

Didn’t know there was a *A lounge at GLA!

Anyway the FT etiquette is to always have Priority Pass to both be in the same lounge rather than be caught outside

BA Oneworld Lounge and a very last minute meet up with having time to gulp down a pint of cider before I had to go to the gate.
