No impact. I'd be hopeful that the SANDF gets some ideas - but this isn't the place to discuss that

I think at present stage , no impact until things start getting violent ? Hehe yeah , to be honest as someone who earns mostly via the exchange rate from the GBP to ZAR, the worse SA gets the better for me in terms of finical gain for me !

Nothing's getting violent, that's quite clear. I prefer to hope for the good of the country regardless of my personal consequences, but again, wrong forum, you're familiar with where to post such discussions

Why does EK 418/419 stop in BKK ?
Other flights to SYD are nonstop.

In order to fly passengers from BKK to SYD (and previously CHC and AKL) and vice versa.

Any idea when/if the frequencies cut earlier this year to U.S. destinations will resume? I.e. Seattle/Boston? I really miss the early morning SEA-DXB flight that gets in early afternoon DXB time. Or do we have to wait for Trump to get out of office?

I was just thinking the same thing, I miss the 2nd DXB-LAX frequency since it leaves in the afternoon bank. The other way around I'm not a fan of as it arrives so late at night in DXB.

Honestly, I wonder if EK is just happy with higher yields and half the seats on these routes. I read somewhere the AS feed for SEA was strong but I feel like LAX is a relatively pure origin market.

Sorry, no idea.

I tend not to keep up with USA routes as going via DXB would not make sense for me.

Looks like EK761/EK762 DXB-JNB-DXB will be switching a 777 for a 380 from 15DEC to 13JAN.

Not sure of the reasons (Y load for holiday season?) but will be fun to depart from JNB on the whale for once. Looks like there will be good J to F upgrade availability too. Hope it won’t have older ICE and screen though.

2nd daily A380. Definitely because of the holiday load, South Africa is overrun with tourists in that time

JNB getting two A380s and the also popular CPT only 777s (also 4 flights) ?
Is there a reason for this ? Runway capacity is not the problem as it contains just a single one just like JNB.
